What Is Linux
Linux is an alternative operating system to use on your PC, and servers, which is open source. It is powerful operating system. that can do anything that any other operating systems can do.
According to Linux.com “Linux has been around since the mid-1990s and has since reached a user-base that spans the globe. Linux is actually everywhere: It?s in your phones, your thermostats, in your cars, refrigerators, Roku devices, and televisions. It also runs most of the Internet, all of the world’s top 500 supercomputers, and the world’s stock exchanges.”
A distro is a version of Linux that is based on the original version of Linux. There are many versions you can use Each have their advantages and disadvantages.

The list below is what I consider my top distro of Linux that I think would be to use or at least try. One advantage of Linux is you can try it before you install it.
