Do you every have times that you suspect you have a hard drive that might be going bad. If so you have Windows then you are in luck. Windows comes with a program called Chkdsk to help you fix the drive. I suggest you make a back up your information before running chkdsk, which you should be doing anyway.
I suggest that you might want to run chkdsk /f /r /v if we have problems on the you, other hard drive(s). whether they are internal or external.
/f – This chkdsk command option will fix any errors found on the disk.
/r – This option tells chkdsk to locate bad sectors and recover any readable information from them
/v – This chkdsk option on a FAT or FAT32 volume to show the full path and name of every file on the disk. If used on an NTFS volume, it will show cleanup messages (if there are any)
